I have lots of sun on my house; why is my StellarScore so low?
First of all, you can always contact us when something doesn’t seem right with your StellarScore ™, or talk with one of the providers in Geostellar’s network of solar professionals to bring some more expertise to bear on your situation. Your house may get lots of sun, but there may be trees, structures or terrain features that shade your roof. The roof may primarily face North, or have a steep pitch, or have many facets that shade one another at various points in the day. Your local utility rates may also be low, which means that free solar energy takes longer to offset the cost of installation. There may be no renewable energy incentives in your area, or other policy issues which make solar more expensive. We may even have bad data for your property. Depending on your goals, it may still be a good idea to go solar. Email us or an installer and get a second opinion.
